INTERNATIONAL YOUNG MUSICIANS SOLO COMPETITIONS

 

Winner(s) will perform as a soloist with members of New England Youth Symphony in one of the concert series.  These competitions are open to all instrumentalists/pianists/vocalists under age of 25 (with 3 age groups: 14 and under, 15-18, and 19-25, age as of February 28th, 2018).   Incomplete applications (including failure to pay fees and failure to fill in the form properly) will result in disqualification.    

All decisions made by the panel of judges are final and may not be appealed.‎

 

 

2018 Solo Competition:

  Concerto Competition.  Open to instrumentalists/pianists/vocalists in a piece that can be accompanied by a string/chamber/symphony orchestra.   Repertoire: a movement (movements) of a concerto, a concert aria, a concert piece, etc. All performance materials, including scores and parts, must be available (for either rent or purchase) in the United States.   Not more than 15 minutes of music.  No set minimum duration.   Memorization is not required.   Application and video deadline: midnight EST of February 28th, 2018.   Winner(s) will perform one movement of a concerto with NEYS in one of the 2018-2019 concert series.
